As a result of the work that Colin Bowles undertook with Tsegay (see Completed Projects, Mikael Amba) we now have a strong working relationship with the best carver in Mekele. Colin has now sent him a number of hand tools so that he can undertake some conservation work on the beautiful 11th century door that is coming adrift from its hinges.
